Olivia and I have been best friends since the ages of 12 and 14. We went through all the cringe-worthy phases of adolescence together; box-dyed red hair, caked black eyeliner, and ripping our clothes. We thought we were so cool and different! Which just makes the fact that I got to take her college grad photos that much more bittersweet. Where'd all the time go?!
There are many situational things that led us to be such good friends, like our similar traumatic upbringings, and the fact that we're both products of having grown up in a rural, conservative small town. But the things that have kept our friendship going over the last ten years simply has to do with the fact that Olivia is just the best human. Not only is she the funniest person I know, but she is genuine, true to herself, hard working, and KIND. Capturing her soul in her grad photos was just another reminder why I love photography, and why I love HER!
Our friendship makes me excited to be old ladies together and I think that says a lot :,)
